RECORDING ARTIST REALLY DOE
Really Doe was first noticed in the late 1990's with long-time friends, Kanye West and GLC, which later on formed a group call the “Go-Getters”. Really Doe’s affiliation with these artists has helped him become a staple artist in the music business. In 2004, Really Doe participated on a 50 city tour as the opening act for Kanye West on the “College Drop Out Tour”. Really Doe also performed on “The Truth Tour”, which was headlined by Usher, Kanye West, and Christina Milian. In 2005 Really Doe made a cameo appearance in Roc-a-Fella’s “State Property 2” along with Kanye West. In 2005 Really Doe worked in the studio with Kanye West on his album “Late Registration”. Really Doe received writing credits for the songs “Drive Slow” and “We Major” which featured Nas as well . “Late Registration” went on to win 4 Grammys!
In 2005, the “ Touch the Sky Tour” served as a breakout point for Really Doe. Critics say that this is the tour where Really Doe established a rapport on with the fans. This tour visited 50 cities with artists Fantasia, Keyshia Cole, Lupe Fiasco, Good Music family and many others. This tour allowed Really Doe to take his craft to the next level. Next was the “Glow in the Dark Tour”, where Really Doe performed spot dates in large cities with Kanye West, Rhianna, and N.E.R.D. This positioned Really Doe to be picked up by Sony as a 2007 Good Music/Sony artist. Really Doe began to immediately work with acclaimed rapper “ Consequence”,where Doe was featured and co-wrote the single “Disperse” which also featured GLC.
This achievement led to Doe being handpicked by Griffin Guess as a priority artist on Cartell Records, where Really Doe released his album “First Impressions” which debut at #6 on Itunes hip hop albums of 2009. On this album, Kanye West also collaborated with Really Doe on the song “Plastic”. In 2009/2010 Really Doe was an opening act for Puerto Rican super group, “Wesin and Yandel.” Then, in 2011 Really Doe worked with Kanye West on “My Dark Twisted Fantasy” as a writer. This where Really Doe received a Grammy for his writing skills on “All of the Lights” in 2012 . With all of his accolades and success, Really Doe has always stayed true to himself and his fans.
